Pretty Things

You always called me your sweet prince
With sincerity and no pretense
We made a place and case for love
Such a shame where it ends up
I never thought it would be so hard to give my heart away
And all that you taught me has brought me this far
But now I stand alone
A blessed mess on my own
When all the pretty things are gone
Now it seems a race to be erased
From the chase to find another face
That lead me down dark and lonely halls
Where pictures on crooked walls
And the trinkets and love letters sealed by your kiss
They never lose their scent
Dream, seems a dream
That it came and then went
In the name of moving on
So wrong for just a song
When all the pretty things are gone
